Background
Cycle Friendly Kingussie (CFK) was established in 2013, following an open community meeting in Kingussie, from which a number of activity strands were identified and have been developed over the following years. CFK is a sub group of KCDC.
Vision
Kingussie and the wider Badenoch is a place where cycling increasingly becomes a popular method of travelling, not only for visitors and touring cyclists, but also for everyday journeys, sport and recreation for people of all ages and abilities.
This will be made possible through a network of quality routes both on and off road, ease of safe cycling within Kingussie itself and readily available information about routes and cycling opportunities.
Training, sharing knowledge, cycle resources and organising events will be the basis for an inclusive active cycle culture.
Aim
The aim of CFK is to reduce barriers to cycling, both for residents and visitors to Badenoch.
