For the past couple months we’ve been working away at the new section of path on the Golf Course Circular. The fine weather has certainly helped with progress and the new section of path is complete – we just have to build a new gate in the estate deer fence before we can open it to “the public”.
Pitmain Estate have been very supportive of our efforts and have offered to supply the timber required for the new gate and gate posts.
We’re now working on improving the existing path up to the bench at the “four-ways junction”.
In addition, many of you will have noticed a fresh dump of quarry dust at Tait’s Brae – at the foot of the path up Creag Bheag.
This will be used to improve the surface of the new path we laid earlier this year and also be used for new paths later this year. Some of the quarry dust has been bagged – ready for moving up to the top of the track through the woods.
